WHO:

Split Open stars ZEDA ZHANG, a pro wrestler, actor, and stunt woman who has wrestled in world-famous organizations like WWE and AEW and acted in popular shows like Enter the Dojo. She is represented by 3Arts.

This will be the 10th short film of director VAHAN BEDELIAN, best known for his short The K-Town Killer, which premiered at the Tribeca Festival, one of the most prestigious festivals in the world.

WHERE:

Split Open will be targeted for festival distribution and an eventual online release. Combining prestige from the festival circuit and online following from Zeda Zhang for, we have a target viewership of at least 100,000.

WHY:

Split Open offers a window into the lives of female pro wrestlers and fighters and asks questions about femininity, fighting, and fandom. Ultimately it is a story about two women who find consolation in their relationship together when the rest of the world mistreats them.
